The Broward College Office of Advancement recently welcomed Megan R. Cottle, MPA as its Vice President for Advancement and Executive Director of the Broward College Foundation, effective June 1, 2023. Megan’s responsibilities will include serving as the primary liaison to the Foundation Board of Directors, as well as major donor fundraising to support the College’s academic programs, learning facility enhancements, and scholarships.

Megan joins the Broward College family after serving nearly eight years as Senior Director for Institutional Giving & Innovation at Baptist Health South Florida where she oversaw major gifts for research, continuing medical education and innovation as well as philanthropic partnerships with local, regional, national, and international foundations, and corporate and governmental institutions. Previously, Megan was a consultant with several bipartisan Washington, D.C. firms; was Executive Director of Alabama Ballet; and Associate Vice President of Development for the Alabama Symphony Orchestra.
Among her professional affiliations, Megan is a member of Class XL of Leadership Broward and Class X of Leadership UAB (University of Alabama at Birmingham). She is an active community volunteer serving on the entrepreneurship committee of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, the past event chair of the University of Alabama Alumni Society, and past scholarship chair and Vice President for the Fairchild Palms.
Megan holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Alabama and a Master of Public Administration and Non-Profit Management from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
