The YMCA of South Florida kicked off its 20th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Inspirational Celebration at First Baptist Fort Lauderdale on Friday, January 12. Broward College’s senior leadership was in attendance, including the Vice President of Advancement Megan R. Cottle, Interim Associate Vice President of Public Relations and Communication Joslyn Cassano, and Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs and College Operations Jeffrey Nasse.

The celebration featured two extraordinary voices of the global civil rights movement. Activists Donzaleigh Abernathy and Ndaba Mandela took us on an impactful journey with their stories and life experiences.
