Broward College Foundation celebrated a $93,340 scholarship investment from The Florida College System Foundation at its Board meeting on September 22. The funders for this investment include Florida Blue, Helios Education Foundation, and Bank of America, as well additional private match from Roy and Kathryn Krause and their Foundation to qualify for the full opportunity from Florida Blue.

The scholarships will aid in relieving nursing and other healthcare professional shortages and helping first-generation college students complete their education by providing student access to high-quality, affordable academic and career education programs. Ultimately, a trained workforce will meet Florida industry needs, so we value the commitment of The Florida College System Foundation to ensuring Floridians have an opportunity to pursue a degree that leads to impactful careers.
